The US Environmental Protection Agency and The Department
of Energy describe GHP as the most energy-efficient,
environmentally clean and cost-effective source of
renewable energy of any available competing fuel
technologies
Public awareness of GHP systems is rapidly increasing.
Because of the clear customer advantages offered by GHP
systems, u.s. GHP shipments have been increasing at a rate
of approximately 25% per year since the late 1990s.
Nationwide, 600,000 units have now been installed.
As noted in USA Today, President George W. Bush
uses a GHP system at his ranch in Crawford, Texas. Recent
editorials in USA Today and the New York Times offered
further endorsements for GHP systems. Polls show that more
than 95% of all GHP customers would recommend the GHP
system to a family member or friend.
Based on energy savings achieved by our product, we are
able to model the emissions reductions (carbon dioxide,
sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxide).
Roughly, the ratio of emission savings for a 300-ton
(HVAC thermal unit) GHP installation is:
- NOx 5.3 tons / year
- SO2 2.25 tons / year
- CO2 887 tons / year
